  1. I found a polaroid on the Vietnam Memorial in San Antonio...

    What gives me hope?

Thinking and then realizing that there really are people with good hearts in this world... sometimes we forget and have days or weeks with bitter people... but then one day out of no where you meet someone or bump into someone with a good heart, humble. noble.... that gives me hope... like that small glimmer of light at the end of a dark, cold, musty tunnel... That gives me hope.

  2. England, Birmingham, New Street Station, platform 10b, 10th May 2007.

I found a polaroid taped to the departures listings. The platform is dark and unwelcoming; the polaroid is colour- the toys smile at me through the darkness.

After a long shift at work, waiting for my train home, I feel happy, uplifted somehow. I know I'm not alone- I feel I'm amongst friends, part of a community. That gives me hope.

  3. I find hope resitng within myself; sometimes it lies dormant, unrecognized, until a sudden special moment in time or event that makes me see the true reality of the world blossoms. It is at this time that I turn toward myself and look upon the timeline of my life and recognize how far I have come--how far I have come to simply give up, get out now? Using my own promotion, I pick myself up brush off my weaknesses. Knowing that I can help myself drives me to recognize my ability to help others.
A prospect of a better future for myself, my children, and the world is what gives me HOPE.

Live for yourself, and achieve your own goals before settling down for the finish.
